WBMDFC Education Loan for Minority Students in West Bengal:

WBMDFC provides education loan to the students belonging to minority communities (i.e. Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh & Parsee) pursuing technical or professional courses at Under Graduate / Post Graduate level in an institution recognized by an appropriate authority. Education loan is also given for short term courses having high employment opportunities.

Muslim OBC Candidates may get the loan @Rs. 1.25 lakh per year subject to submission of OBC Certificate issued by the authority.

Eligibility Criteria for Education Loan:

◙ Annual family income of the applicant should be within Rs.40000/- in rural areas & Rs. 55000/- in urban areas.

◙ Applicant should belong to Minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist and Parsee)

◙ Financial assistance will be given to pursue degree and/or post graduate level technical and professional courses (Like B.TECH, MBBS, MCA, MBA, NURSING, ETC) from a recognized institution or other short term professional courses with high employment opportunities.

◙ Students who get admission to a college to pursue technical/professional courses, on the basis of a competitive examination or marks not less than 50% at HS/Grad level will be given priority for the education loan.

◙ The applicant should be in the age group of 16-32 years of age.

Notice for Online Application of Education Loan is generally published from July to September every year.

Allowances to unemployed youths from West Bengal Government

Allowance for Unemployed Youths in West Bengal:-

Govt. of West Bengal is going to grant allowance to the unemployed youths in West Bengal. Government will provide financial assistance to the unemployed men and women. The persons who enrolled their name in Employment Bank are eligible to get the allowance. Applicant’s minimum qualification is 8^th class passed. Age should be 18 to 45 years. Applicants have to enroll their name by applying online only.

How to enroll name in Employment Bank:

Procedure of Online Application:

1. At first keep all necessary information (date of birth, Educational qualification, address identity proof etc.) with you before applying. 
2. Your Height, Chest (in cm), Weight (in kg).
3. Voter Card No./Ration Card No./Passport No.
4. Photo (jpg,.jpeg file upto 500 KB with signature)
5. CV (doc,.docx file upto 200 KB)
6. Go to Job Seeker option and then click on New Enrolment option. Select the box before “Accept and Continue” and click on it. The online form will be displayed. Fill all the necessary fields in the form. Upload your photo with signature and then Cv. At last click on submit button.
7. A page with some information will be displayed. Take print out of the page.
8. Go to nearest Employment Exchange office with the printed paper and all original documents within 30 days of application. They will give you a user id and password. With the user name and password you will be able to search jobs that match you qualifications in Employment Bank’s website.
9. You may update your profile or educational qualification later.
