How to Book Railway Ticket through IRCTC:-
10 Easy and Quick Tips
- At first go to the website of IRCTC - https://www.irctc.co.in/
- Write Username and Password in the boxes located at the left side of the page (if you have an account with IRCTC).
- If you do not have an account with IRCTC click on ‘Sign Up’ button and fill the Sign Up form and submit. Your Username, Password and Activation link will be sent to your registered Email Id and mobile verification code will be sent to your mobile number.
- Now go the homepage of IRCTC and sign in with your Username and Password.
- Look at the left side of the page where ‘Plan Your Travel’ is written. Select the station from where you want to travel and the destination station. Select the date you want to travel on. Then choose the Ticket type. There are two types of tickets-E-ticket and I-ticket. Now select the Quota. There are three types of Quota-General, Tatkal and Ladies.
- Click on ‘Find Trains’ button. A list of available trains and available seats will be displayed. Select the train and seat and click on ‘Book’ button.
- Write the name(s) of passenger(s), age, gender, berth preference etc. in the reservation form.
- Click on ‘Go’ button. Now make payment with available payment options. You can make payment with your Credit/Debit card, Mobile/Net Banking, Cash Card or EMI options.
- An Email with details of your ticket and PNR number will be sent to your Email Id. An SMS with your transaction details and PNR number will be sent to your mobile number.
- Now you may take a print out of your ticket in English or Hindi version.
