Subsidy Loan and Margin Money Loan Schemes for poor Scheduled Caste family from West Bengal S.C. and S.T. Development & Finance Corporation:-

Family Oriented Economic Development (FOED) schemes on Special Central Assistance (SCA) to Special component Plan:-
This scheme is implemented by the Corporation for catering to the poorest of the poor Scheduled Caste family living below the poverty line. The scheme is tied up with the Banks. Corporation releases Margin Money loan and Subsidy from its fund which is clubbed with the bank loan portion and disbursed to the beneficiaries through the banks.
The Corporation provides assistance to the target group people on individual or cluster basis for undertaking income generating schemes under six brand sectors like :-
  1. Agriculture & Small Irrigation
  2. Animal Husbandry
  3. Fisheries
  4. Village Industries
  5. Small Business
  6. Small Transport
Eligibility for the loan:
☼ Annual Family Income 1) Rs. 19654/- in Rural Areas and II) Rs.27247 in Urban areas. ☼ The beneficiary should be in the age group of 18-50 years.
☼ The beneficiary shall not be a defaulter of loan from any financial institution including the Bank/Co-operative Societies and the beneficiary shall produce a "No due certificate" from the service area Bank/Co-operative Societies which is catering his/her residential area.
Means of finance in this scheme consists of three components:
  • Subsidy
  • Margin Money Loan
  • Bank Loan

‘NSFDC’ (National Scheduled Castes Finance & Development Corporation) was set up by the Government of India under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
NSFDC offers loan for income generating scheme to target group through State channelizing Agencies. NSFDC offers loans only to economically poor sections of Scheduled Castes whose annual family income is below Double the Poverty Line limit (i.e. upto Rs 40,000/- for rural areas and upto Rs 55,000/- for urban areas). NSFDC provides loans for income generating activities in Agriculture and other allied, industrial and service sector & for professional/ Technical education.
But apart from caste and economic criteria, applicant must have practical experience or skill and entrepreneurial ability in concerned field so that they can utilize loan properly, and make their business a success.

Shilpi Samriddhi Yojana:-
Eligibility for Shilpi Samriddhi Yojana-
This loan is specially given to Scheduled Castes Artisans possessing Artisan Identity Card issued by the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India or any Government authority for making of craft items.
Procedure to apply for NSFDC loan:-

Intended applicants who wish to avail NSFDCs loans have to contact the SCAs. The SCAs have officers in every District/Region. The applicants are required to submit application in  NSFDC's format with details of business and copies of caste, income, experience at the district office. Offices of these agencies exist in every district where details of business and caste, family income, professional experience and documents related to activity are to be filled in NSFDC's format and submitted at the District Office.
