German Academic Exchange Service, Scholarship for International Students, Scholarship for studying in Germany:

Government of German offers a number of scholarships to the students of developing countries. The students of developing countries (including India) can get scholarship through “German Academic Exchange Service”. The name of the scholarship is “Scholarship for Post-Graduate Courses with Special Reference to Developing Countries”. Through this scholarship students can study in various courses like Economics, Management, Engineering and Technical, Agriculture, Environment, Health Science, Mathematics, Education etc in the Universities of Germany. Scholars will also get the expenses of journey, staying and fooding expenses etc.

Who Can Apply:
Applicants should pass 4 years Graduation Courses with honours in desired subject. Candidates, who are Post-Graduate, may pass 3 years Graduation Courses. In academic qualification applicant should obtain at least 60% marks.

Medium of Education:
Most of courses are in English language in universities of Germany. Some courses are in English and German language. A few of courses are in German language.

Duration and Amount of Scholarship:
Scholarship is offered for maximum 2 years. One to six months-to learn German language. In this period students will get fooding and staying expenses and some pocket money also. Then the students have to admit in Post-Graduate courses. The amount of scholarship is 750 euro per month.

How to apply:
Candidates scholarship can get Application Format from the scholarship section of http://newdelhi.daad.de/ Candidates have to apply in A-4 size paper in own hand-writing. Applicants have to send two copies of Application Forms to DAAD. Passport size photograph is to be pasted in right place of Application Form. Candidates have to send two copies of Bio-Data, format collected from http://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/europass/home/vernav/Europasss+Documents/Europass+CV.csp), two copies of Letter of Motivation (why you want to study in Germany), two copies of Recommendation letters from your last institute, two copies of Confirmation Letter of Employment, photo copies of academic qualification, two copies School Leaving Certificate. Do not staple the documents. Application Form and documents should be sent to the address-“The German Academic Exchange Service, 72 Lodi Estate, New Delhi – 110003” within 31 august.

Scholarships for Studying Diploma Engineering and Polytechnic in Singapore


Scholarship for studying Diploma Engineering in Singapore:

Indian students, who want to study Diploma Engineering in Singapore, may apply for Sia–Youth Scholarship.
Candidates have to pass Secondary Examination or any equivalent examination with at least 85% marks in English as 1st language. They can get this scholarship for 2 years.
Candidates will be chosen through written test and Interview.
Diploma Engineering in Singapore:
Indian students, who wish to study Diploma Engineering in Singapore, have to pass Secondary Examination or any equivalent examination.
There are two famous universities in Singapore where Diploma Engineering course is available. These are Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore.
English-medium students will get more priority than Bengali-medium students. Applicants who have not studied from English-medium have to pass a test of English fluency arranged by the University. The notice of admission is published in March-April of every year.

Engineering Courses, Science and Technology Courses in Singapore:

For studying various courses of Science and Technology, Nanyang Technology University of Singapore is among the most popular Institutes in Asia. Many foreigner students go to there for studying Engineering courses. Naturally the competition is very tough there. Willing candidates have to obtain good marks in Higher Secondary Level examination. They have to obtain at least 80% marks in Science Group otherwise the chance is very deficient.
Candidates have to score well in TOEFL or IELTS Test. There is no limitation of age.
Foreigner students may get various Scholarships (i.e. Nanyang Scholarship, J.T.C. Scholarship etc.).

Scholarships for Studying Polytechnic in Singapore:

After passing Secondary Examination, Students may go to Singapore for studying Computer Engineering of Polytechnic. Willing candidates should have the ability of speaking, reading and writing good English. There are five Government aided Polytechnic Institutes in Singapore. These are: Nanyang Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic. For studying Diploma Engineering, the expenses is about 12, 652, 50 Singapore dollar. The Govt. of Singapore allows discount upto 80% of expenses for studying in Govt. Polytechnic Institutes. But in that case, candidates have to promise that after concluding their study they will work in some Registered Organizations for at least 3 years.
For studying in Singapore, Indian students can get some Scholarships (i.e. “Youth Scholarship” and NOL Undergraduate Scholarship” from Singapore Airlines, Singapore Millennium and A-Star India Youth Scholarship).
