Education Loan Scheme of NSTFDC titled “Adivasi Siksha Rrinn Yojana”:-

Eligibility for the loan:
◙ Students should be from a Scheduled Tribe community.
◙ The annual family income of the student should not exceed Double the Poverty line (DPL) limit. The Present limit is Rs.39, 500 p.a. for the rural areas and Rs.54, 500 p.a. for urban areas.
◙ The applicant should have been selected for admission/secured admission for an eligible course in a college/institution recognized by an Indian Government Body.
◙ No other loan is availed by the applicant from any other source for education purpose.
Courses Covered:
Education loan may be provided for the professional and technical courses including Ph.D. conducted by colleges / Universities approved by UGC / Govt. / AICTE / AIBMS / ICMR etc.
How to apply:
Eligible student shall apply for loan to the SCA in his/her domicile State / UT, as per the format prescribed by the SCA.

Subsidy Loan and Margin Money Loan Schemes for poor Scheduled Caste family from West Bengal S.C. and S.T. Development & Finance Corporation:-

Family Oriented Economic Development (FOED) schemes on Special Central Assistance (SCA) to Special component Plan:-
This scheme is implemented by the Corporation for catering to the poorest of the poor Scheduled Caste family living below the poverty line. The scheme is tied up with the Banks. Corporation releases Margin Money loan and Subsidy from its fund which is clubbed with the bank loan portion and disbursed to the beneficiaries through the banks.
The Corporation provides assistance to the target group people on individual or cluster basis for undertaking income generating schemes under six brand sectors like :-
  1. Agriculture & Small Irrigation
  2. Animal Husbandry
  3. Fisheries
  4. Village Industries
  5. Small Business
  6. Small Transport
Eligibility for the loan:
☼ Annual Family Income 1) Rs. 19654/- in Rural Areas and II) Rs.27247 in Urban areas. ☼ The beneficiary should be in the age group of 18-50 years.
☼ The beneficiary shall not be a defaulter of loan from any financial institution including the Bank/Co-operative Societies and the beneficiary shall produce a "No due certificate" from the service area Bank/Co-operative Societies which is catering his/her residential area.
Means of finance in this scheme consists of three components:
  • Subsidy
  • Margin Money Loan
  • Bank Loan
