Most important things to remember when you are losing weight:

To be straight, there is no such easy way to lose weight fast, because it may not be healthy. It takes hard work, dedication and time. Some people say that exercise is very important but not so necessary. What is very important is the food you use to take. If you do 1 hour exercise a day everyday but you take wrong food, you can not lose weight fast.
When you are losing weight, you have to do exercise and diet together. Both are important to lose fat and weight. Because, if you exercise without dieting, you may get bigger appetite, which will lead to increase of weight or muscle grow underneath the fat layer and you bulkier. If you diet without exercise, you may become flabby.
Try to avoid junk food, fast food or any oily food.
And for exercising, first start with walking. Then gradually try jogging and running. Running is more effective and it helps to burn more calories fast. If you are overweight a lot, walk first or you may have health complications like heart attack etc. weight lifting is a good way to target your problem areas for men and women. A couple of dumbbells will help you to lose fat in stomach, legs, arms and chest.
Drink 1 gallon of water per day. While eating, do not exceed the total calories per day and eat at least 1500 calories per day everyday. Walk 30 minutes to 1 hour per day. First start slowly. Then gradually increase your speed a little till you can maintain a good clip the slow down to cool off. Repeat this for 3 to 5 times. Try some free hand exercises for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour. You do not have to go out for gym; you can do this all at home.
And lastly, you have to sleep up to 7 to 9 hours per day.
But I strongly suggest everyone to meet you fitness trainer or doctors for proper suggestion by which you can lose weight and fat healthily.

If you are suggested to walk for 1 to 2 hours in a day, this may not be possible for you. Because you may not have much time. But you can lose weight by walking half an hour and doing some simple activities.
  1. Just walk half an hour in the morning.
  2. Do not walk more at first time when you are starting. Gradually increase the time for walking.
  3. Wear comfortable clothes and footwear.
  4. Park your car or bike a little far from your home, shops or cinema hall so that you can have a little distance for walk.
  5. Try to give time to your children. Play with then for some time.
  6. Try jogging, swimming, cycling etc. at times.
  7. Walk regularly in the morning or evening.
